More To Mica - Life & Fashion Theme Update

The two of us (me and my beloved) support brands in the local scene and like seeing them at malls and fairs. One day we got inspired and decided to create our own brand. That marked the birth of Salute Streetstyle. And so of course, this time I’m featuring the brand founded by me and my beloved, Salute Streetstyle.



Salute Streetstyle started with headwear products, materials are sourced in the Philipines and the product is assembled by our fellow Filipino hat makers. Aside from being a local brand, we wanted it to be a brand that reminds us to respect oneself & others. That one should be proud of how they live and style themselves.




I wore the Salute Streetstyle striped eyelet crop top, Salute Streetstyle buck black five panel hat and this black shorts altogether. This top is actually our first and currently one and only piece for women, which we haven’t promoted. You guys got the first dibs!!



Hell yeah, faats! We beg your pardon, lol



It’s not very visible in my photos but the cap has white diagonal lines in it. My top, my cap and even my shorts have lines but thankfully matching them came out nicely.

I was coming in and out of school on weekdays when I together with some friends from FIP noticed a construction/renovation on going just at the ground floor of OPL Building (same building as to the school I’m attending, FIP).

We were all wondering what was up with that spot because the interiors were so fresh and clean, not to mention the construction was pretty fast! As soon as the month shifted to September the mystery was solved!



The upcoming food stop that opened on September 1st is SaladStop! Salad Stop originated in Singapore. They believe that it’s a basic human right to truly eat well.



I didn’t know about the Salad Stop until then and heard a few positive notes from here and there. And so, I didn’t let the opportunity pass and tried last tuesday.




Here at Salad Stop you have the power to make your own salad. You can choose your greens in the usual salad bowl in a wrap, pick from over 60 ingredients and choose your dressing or just pick from their range of Signature Salads and Wraps. Since I have little knowledge of the place and the food I decided to go for the ready-made or their signature dishes.



I went for their Hail Caesar in a wrap which costs at P250. Their salads costs at P250-P350.



And ooh la la! Who’d thought healthy can be as tasty as this! The Hail Caesar Salad Wrap was really yummy. The mix of romaine, shaved Parmesan, egg, croutons and bacon bits were palatable. Yes, there were bacon bits, but not too many, so maybe it’s still passable as healthy, LOL .....  I enjoyed the subtle crisp of the wrap. The veggies seemed to be really fresh. Plus, they have some desserts and healthy snacks as well.



Mhmm Mhmm Mhmm! Approved! Thank you Salad Stop!

This top I’m wearing was from the Off Price Show event at the Filinvest Tent. I bought it because I liked the simple caption printed on it.. Welcome to Paradise! So nice to say..



A skies the limit shopping without having to spend much.. That I think would be paradise for me, just imagine swimming in a sea of skirts, tops, dresses, beauty & skin products. Lol.



This Something Borrowed bag is from Zalora. Since that time I found hologram items being sold at Zalora, I have become obsessed with the brand Something Borrowed. If only I could shop at Zalora to buy all pieces of Something Borrowed!! Ahh.. that would be really great! Another paradise for me! Teehee~



I sound a very materialistic girl now, haha. What I really think of paradise, is being around the people we love. Being with my family & my friends is paradise. Being with the one I love is paradise.

Speaking of my special someone, our anniversary is coming up soon. I wonder what I could get him. Because a person who tries his best to make me happy should feel that he is loved and cared for as well. And a way to show that I love him too, is by giving him a gift.

We all have our own thoughts and opinions about what paradise is, but I believe it points to what our supreme happiness is.

Somehow, I’d like to think that little by little I am moving towards my dream of being a fashion designer and that I have God supporting me on this.

If you’ve seen my previous post, I’ve taken up sewing classes at FIP and enrolled to other classes as well. I’ve finished my Basic Sewing class, Basic Patternmaking for Ladieswear and Basic Fashion Design. I am currently taking up Fashion Merchandising, Children’s Wear and Advanced Fashion Design.
